Volunteer with Us

Volunteering with Lineenbaal Women Association will be a very rewarding experience for you and will offer you a good volunteer travel opportunity. Our volunteers work in rural communities in  Oti Region of  Ghana ,working on programs such as provision of quality education remote communities. Other activities include, teaching, medical (ideal for nurses, doctors and other health professionals).

Volunteers in Ghana get first hand information on social and economic problems facing the Country such as poverty, hunger, malnutrition, disease, unemployment etc .Applications for our volunteer projects are welcome from throughout the world. We invite individuals, couples, families, students, researchers, and groups (churches, colleges, and student associations) to volunteer in Ghana through the Lineenbaal Women Association.

The Lineenbaal Women Association’s volunteer program is intended to give people who are interested in rural development an opportunity to increase their overseas experience and gain broad exposure to Lineenbaal Women Association’s programs. Each year, Lineenbaal Women Association is expected to have not less than approximately 20 placements with our programs. Assignments are for six months or more. Lineenbaal Women Association will verify the completed form and return it to the applicant.

Over the years our Weekly Volunteers have worked intensively with our Development and Communications Department to assist with day-to-day operations by providing administrative and clerical support as well as assisting with research projects. Weekly Volunteer opportunities are offered on an as-needed basis.

Requirements:

  • A minimum commitment of three hours per week for at least two months during regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm);
  • Ability to take direction and work independently and efficiently;
  • Some knowledge/comfort with office systems, Microsoft Office, and the Internet; and
  • A willingness to learn more about our work!
